Maternity: Celebrity Baby Shower Inspo

With a little one on the way, what better way to celebrate than a themed baby shower!
From how the celebrities did it to how to throw one just like them, this mini guide on celebrity baby showers is filled with star-studded inspiration.

The theme: Kim Kardashian’s baby shower was based on movie ‘Troop Beverly Hills’ which tells the story of a privileged housewife who aims to distract herself from her marriage break up by leading a troop of Wilderness Girls.
How the stars did it: With Kim naming it as her favourite movie, her baby shower featured hot chocolate, cookies and champagne. Kim wrote on her website that she wanted this event to have a relaxed atmosphere hence the comfy pyjama dress code for the indoor glamping affair.
What you need: Grab some tepees and dust off that old camping gear for decoration. Put pancakes and waffles on the brunch menu like Kim and invite your closest friends.
What to wear: If pyjamas aren’t your thing, you could extend the theme with an all-over bohemian camping vibe. Flowing silhouettes or even girl scout uniforms could give a playful nod to the Troop Beverly Hills movie.

The theme: Actress Blake Lively revealed her breath-taking baby shower in the midst of fall last year, surrounded by her expecting friends and their own families.
How the stars did it: With a rich colour palette of burnt oranges and moss greens, Lively prepared an outdoor autumnal table filled with rustic charm. Creating an eternal fall we would love to live permanently in, Lively has you pining for pumpkin carving and collecting conkers.
What you need: To recreate her baby shower, emulate her seasonal banquet with natural table decorations such as squash, apples and ivy. Tie-dye onesies, eat cake and embrace attention to detail- Blake used Alice in Wonderland-esque touches to complete her perfect day.
What to wear: When it comes to dress code, floaty yet heavily printed pieces compliment the landscape, with ponchos and wraps keeping the biting autumn air at bay.

The theme: Actress and model Jaime King was thrown a fun-filled photobooth baby shower surrounded by her closest gal pals.
How the stars did it: When songstress Taylor Swift became godmother to Jaime King’s second child, she transformed herself into the perfect party planner, throwing a star-studded baby shower for her friend. With balloons, props and a decorated photobooth, King was able to remember the event with endless memorable images.
What you need: If you don’t fancy hiring a photographer to achieve a photobooth, create a backdrop with coloured crepe paper, place a timed camera on a tripod and use printable props for a fun twist.
What to wear: Keep it smart-casual when it comes to this event- it’s all about the feather boas, bow ties and and top hats to finish.

The theme: Although Kourtney Kardashian’s theme gave a blue nod to a baby boy, her Breakfast at Tiffany’s shower was a feminine treat in honour of her favourite film.
How the stars did it: A luxurious luncheon held at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel, attention to detail was prevalent with intricate floral arrangements, tiny tiaras and a duck egg blue theme.
What you need: Adopt teal blue shades, offsetting with touches of powder pink. Add charm with intricate place settings and finish with Tiffany’s inspired gift boxes.
What to wear: Make that blue pop with a monochrome dress code just like the Kardashians. Think high neck bodycons, structured blazers or the classic LBD, as worn by Audrey Hepburn herself (don’t forget the pearls!)
